Abstract

Individual Psychology founded by Alfred Adler consttutes one of the triple trivets of depth psychology. In this artcle it has been aimed to analyze the thoughts about religion and God, spiritual tasks and the doctrines discussed on the theory of Individual Psychology. In additon the relatonship between Individual Psychology and religions is atracted atenton. Therefore, at this study it has been mentoned about basic arguments and concepts, basic psychological dynamics, mind-body relatonship, the meaning and purpose of life, outlook on mankind, life and religion take parts in his theory, and within this context the functon of religion for human and life, and about comparisons Individual Psychology and Religions. According to Adler, life in all its aspects is a whole. Religion as a social reality is part of the whole. Also mankind is actve, subject(ive) and responsible in this process (life). There are his/her moral responsibilites as his/her worldly responsibilites. Individuals’ duty is to resolve them in a positve way. At this point, the purpose of Individual Psychology and religions has coincided with each other. Both of them are based to co-operaton, social harmony, welfare and well-being of humanity, to do useful work for people.
