Abstract

This survey aims to identfy the shortcomings of teaching methods and curriculum of Arabiclanguage, which is one of the majör factors in the educaton of religious/theologicalsciences, in the preparatoryclasses of Divinity Facultes and to offer solutons to them. In this sense, various questoes, in the manner that they will reflect the topic of oursurvey, have been asked to the students, which research the problems both in Imam-Hatp highschools and the Facultes of Divinity, and the objectve answers have been received. These questons, as has been seen in the contents of the survey, are related to the place and importance of Arabic in the religious educaton in the İmam-Hatp highschools and the Facultes of Divinity and they consttute the main axis of our survey. This studey is important in the sense that it shows the signifcance of Arabic which is the basis for the teaching and educaton of Theological and Religious Sciences in the Facultes of Divinity and for the teaching of vocatonal courses in İmam-Hatp highschools
