Abstract

Since the very beginning of the tme, there has not been a single social insttuton that is not affected by the religion. Likewise, upon the birth a person joins a group. Group shapes the individual by socailizing process and enculturaton. Stll, individual is not a passvive point within the group. Individual's point of view affects the group and groups ideas, likewise, beliefs and behaviours affects individuals behaviours. Religion and faith have direct or indirect effetcs on this social- psychological setng over the whole dynamics of the group. Since the individual is covered by explanaton of life and desire to be in a group, individual is affected by the phenomenon of the religion, thus shapes the sense of self according to groups religious beliefs and attudes. Its very hard for people living in a socail group to not to believe in a religion or not to be affected by it. When the dynamics between the individual and the group is considered, even though he/she doesn't believe in a religion, the bond between the group and individual pushes he/she to create a religious social identty-ego. While the social self creates a beter bond with the religion, inner self displays what is in deep down. Our paper’s objectve is hightlightng this problem exactly: transactonal and communicatonal ways between the group and individual and comparing them with the concept of religion. The Social Psychology of Religion, which is not studied as a different area and living between the Psychology of Religion and Sociology of Religion, will be the main research point of the paper.
