In this study, an evaluation is made according to the use of education in the transformation of the concept of ‘historical place’ which is an important element in history education, into ‘virtual historical place’ concept with today's technology. The concept of ‘place, which is a secondary concept for the science of history has transformed by computer technology and thus, has made the concept of virtual space more prominent than physical space concept. Technological developments, such as virtual reality and augmented reality, lead to the development of new ideas and applications for the virtual transformation of time and space concepts and their use in the education. This study, which is done with a qualitative research method through document examination, focuses on the advantages and disadvantages of using virtual historical places in the teaching of history subjects to the Z-generation and it is tried to put forward the necessity of using the possibilities of technology consciously in education.
