Selim and his innovations Nizam-i Cedid movement was not profane. it was largely confined to military space. II. Mahmut has initiated compulsory and a more extensive novelty movement. Westernization for salvation has been considered the sole remedy. However, the nature of the state and the structure of the society are not taken into account. Innovations stayed in shape and imitation. targeted success was not achieved. These two periods have influenced subsequent innovations. Innovations are inevitable in these periods. however, it contains errors and failures in terms of method and results. Proving this is the purpose of the study.
