Abstract

At the periods of the tme when the urban sociology, which is one of the subdisciplines of sociology, wasn’t a branch of science, the concepts, urban and urbanizaton, were known as the concepts of architecture and were defned as architecture and urban planning approaches. However, the urban and urbanizaton concepts have won various sizes by the effect of deep global scope and transformatons of the industrializaton. As a result, the concept has become necessary to be addressed from different perspectves. From that day forth, it has seemed that it was far from a great deal of understanding of the structure when we described the city as a place where the masses of crowds of people live in and the urbanizaton as the constructon forms where agglomeratons of crowded people shelter in at an urban crest. Since then, the meaning atributed to these concepts, much more than the old perspectve includes deep sociological perspectve and reviews. Today’s socio-economic, cultural and politcal developments have shown that these concepts can not be enough to explain the urban and the urbanizaton. When the urban is mentoned, one of the most important elements is the adaptaton to the city, having the values of the city; in short, belonging to a city. The sense of belonging to the city is one of the key elements that determine the city and urbanizaton, so considering the fact that this, the concept of urbanizaton has been focused on. In this study we will examine these three concepts in the conceptual framework by addressing them.
