@article{2012,title={Religion, Politcs and Educaton Affairs at the Period of Democratc Party},abstractNode={ In this artcle, the relatonship between the social, economic, cultural and politcal demands of the masses and the religious policy of the Democratc Party is discussed in terms of the practces on religious educaton in the mult-party democratc phase in Turkey which is accepted as one of the most important turning points in Turkish politcal history. During the period of Democratc Party government, relatvely more “reasonable” and non-coercive management approach, dominated the politcal process and the state waivered of the extreme applicatons of secularism in the bureaucracy and everyday life. Also the needs and habits of the broad sectons of the people, which is regarded as freedom of religion and conscience, shaped the policies. However all these democratc achievements, during the period of mult party democratc phase, a populist policy traditon was shaped. In terms of this attude, the traditonalist conservatve oppositon in Turkey was seen as a vote potental by partcipatng politc partes in the competton.
