Abstract

Today sociologists tend to use different sociological theories all together to account for social changes in a society. But, the studies about the changes in family which have been conducted in Turkey, generally refer only to the structural-functonal theory. In this study, it is discussed how different theories, together with the structural-functonal theory, could be employed to explain the shifs in Turkish family paterns.
