Abstract
Religion interacts with society as well as affects it and it is also affected from society and social facts. Within this interaction, religion affects culture, arts, population, economy, politics, daily life and religious ceremonies and sparetime activities. As a result, religion contributes to shape the social identity. In addition to its influence on the shape of social identity, it has a significant role in protecting the national identity. On the other hand, religion is also affected from social facts and therefore, many religious perceptions are shaped through the interaction with society.
