Abstract
In essence, hermeneutcs as the humanites is academic discipline that studies correctly understanding of writen text and deals with interpretaton of writen text. In this traditon, Derrida appears a marginal thinker in remarkable for his postmodern standing. Thus, Derrida became a pioneer in the feld of hermeneutcs as new approach of understanding of writen text with his deconstructon theory. Having characterized as postmodern and post-structuralist appoach, Derrida’s hermeneutc theory critcizes modern and structuralist paradigm which dominates western phisolophy and thought. In this regard, this paper analysis Derrida’s response and critcism towards modernism and modern western philosophical thought. In additon to this, the paper also examines effectveness of language and subject in relaton to understanding rather than text and logo-centrism in Derrida’s thought system.
