Abstract
Toplumsal yaşamın iki temel unsurundan biri olarak kadın içinde yaşadığı toplumun kendisi ile ilgili oluşan algıları çerçevesinde bir yaşam sürmektedir. Söz konusu algıların oluşmasında toplumun sosyal ve siyasal şartları, zihniyeti, kültürü ve inançları belirleyici olmaktadır. Kadın çeşitli toplumlarda farklı şekillerde görünür olsa da toplumsal statü ve rolleri hep tartışılır olmuştur ki özellikle Batı’da gelişen modern yaşam ile birlikte yeni bir durum ortaya çıkmıştır. Kadın; eğitimde, kültürde, sanatta, üretimde geçmişe göre daha etkin ve görünür olmaya başlamıştır. Kadının üretim gücünden daha fazla faydalanan Batı toplumları hızlı bir ilerleme sürecine girmiş, söz konusu gelişme Türk toplumunu da etkilemiştir. Batılılaşma taraftarı görüşleri ile öne çıkan Celal Nuri; eğitim, kültür, sanat ve üretim noktasında Müslüman Türk kadınlarının da güçlenmeleri için yeni fikirler ileri sürmüştür. “Kadınlarımız” adlı eseri döneminde oldukça ilgi çekmiş, tartışmaların yaşanmasına vesile olmuştur. Söz konusu eserinde Türk toplumunda kadının statüsü, değeri, potansiyeli ve özgürlüğüne dair görüşlerini paylaşmıştır. Bu çalışmada, Celal Nuri’nin nasıl bir Müslüman Türk kadını hedeflediği sorusuna cevap aranırken aradan geçen zamana rağmen söz konusu değişimin gerçekleşip/gerçekleşmediği sorgulanmaktadır. Dokümantasyon yöntemiyle gerçekleştirilen çalışmada Celal Nuri’nin “Kadınlarımız” isimli eseri merkeze alınarak analizler yapılmış, yorum ve değerlendirmelerde bulunulmuştur.

Abstract
As one of the two fundamental elements of social life, women live within the framework of the perceptions formed by the society they live in. The social and political conditions, mentality, culture and beliefs of the society are decisive in the formation of these perceptions. Although women are visible in different ways in various societies, their social status and roles have always been debatable, and a new situation has emerged especially with the development of modern life in the West. Women have started to be active and visible in education, culture, art and production compared to the past. Western societies, which benefited more from women’s productive power, entered a rapid progress process, and this development also affected Turkish society. Celal Nuri, who stands out with his pro-Westernization views, put forward new ideas for Muslim Turkish women to become stronger in terms of education, culture, art and production. His work titled “Our Women” attracted considerable attention in its time and caused discussions. In his work, he shared his views on the status, value, potential and freedom of women in Turkish society. In this study, while seeking an answer to the question of what kind of Muslim Turkish woman Celal Nuri targeted, it is questioned whether the change in question has occurred despite the passage of time. In the study carried out with the documentation method, Celal Nuri's work "Our Women" was taken as the center and analyses, comments and evaluations were made.
