Abstract
Uluslararası lojistik faaliyetleri arasında yer alan "gümrükleme" işleminin hızlı ve doğru şekilde planlaması ve en az hatayı içerecek şekilde tamamlanması küresel rekabet gücünü yukarı taşımada büyük rol oynamaktadır. Uluslararası alanda faaliyet gösteren işletmelerin nakliye, geçici depolama, antrepo işlemlerini hızlı, güvenli, eksiksiz ve hatasız yürütmesi için gümrük idarelerine sorumluluk düşmektedir. Yüksek lisans tez araştırmasına dayanılarak oluşturulan bu çalışma, bir yandan gümrük ve lojistik erbabının mevcut durum ve uygulamaları analiz etmesine olanak sağlarken, bir yandan da sektör bazlı çalışmalar için gümrük idarelerinin rollerinin değerlendirilmesi konusunda kaynak teşkil etmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Uluslararası taşımacılık konularında büyük bir rekabetin yaşandığı lojistik sektöründe gümrük uygulamalarının ve gümrük idarelerinin rolünü ortaya koymak, gümrük idarelerinin hizmet kaliteleri ve gümrük işlemlerinin verimliliğini algısal açıdan ölçmek ve son olarak dünya uygulamaları ile ülkemizdeki uygulamaların karşılaştırmasını yapmak amacıyla hazırlanan bu çalışma, akademik anlamda önemli bir kaynak olmaya adaydır.

Abstract
Proper planning of the customs clearance process increases the competitiveness of the logistics sector. Likewise, the fast completion of customs procedures plays a major role in the competition level of the international logistics sector. Customs administrations play significant role in securing and completing customs requirements on transportation and warehousing. This study, which is based on master thesis research, will allow customs professionals to analyze the current situation and practices. On the other hand, it will assist as a resource for evaluating the role of customs administrations in sector-based studies. The study is prepared to reveal the role of customs administrations, to measure the service quality of customs administrations and the efficiency of customs procedures from a perceptual point of view and finally, to compare the practices in Turkey with world applications. This study is also a candidate for being an important academic source in the logistics sector where there is a great competition.
