Charles Taylor is a communiterian philosopher who has joined with some efcent thougts in a debate between liberals and communiterians stemming from recent revival of the politcal philosophy and holds important ideas on issues such as identty, multculturalism, politcs of recogniton. Besides, he has empahisized that the traditon and social-historical context should be taken as the basic reference point. That’s why Taylor discusses some important problems produced by modernism, such as individualism, authority of instrumental reason and loss of freedom, which make the social life barren. He also talks about the steps that should be taken against them.
