Abstract
Yastık halılar, günümüzde Anadolu insanının hayatında varlığını sürdüren, görsel anlatımında ki zengin ifadeleri ile kişilerin duygularını dile getirme özelliğine sahip kullanıma yönelik yapılmış el sanatlarımızdandır. Araştırmaya konu olan Adıyaman ilinde günümüzde dokunan ve kullanılan yastık halılar malzeme, renk ve motif özellikleri ile kaybolmaya başlamış dokuma örnekleridir. Yörede merkezde yapılan araştırmalarda 40 ev ziyaret edilerek 19 örnek ele alınarak kataloglanmıştır. İncelenen yastık halıların Türk düğümü kullanılarak çözgüsü pamuk, atkı ve düğümü yün iplikle dokunduğu görülmüştür. İhtiyaçları karşılama amaçlı, halı dokumalarda kullanılan, ipliklerin hazırlanması ve boya maddelerinin doğal olması için yapılan çalışmalar incelenmiştir. Malzeme, motif ve kompozisyonların meydana getirilmesinde ki ortak özellikler, Anadolu ve dolayısı ile yörenin geleneksel kültürünü yansıtması nedeni ile dikkat çekmektedir. Bölgede bu benzerlikleri gösteren yastık halılar dokumayı yapan ev sahiplerinin vermiş olduğu bilgiler ışığında incelenerek araştırılmıştır. Adıyaman yastık halıları günlük kullanım amacına yönelik olarak oturma, yemek yeme, misafir ağırlama kültürü ile birlikte yöredeki ev dekorasyonlarının meydana gelmesinde etkinliğini sürdürmektedir.

Abstract
Pillow carpets ;which continue to exist in the lives of Anatolian people today; are one of our handicrafts made for use that have the ability to express the emotions of people with their rich expressions in visual expression. The pillow carpets which is the subject of the research woven and used today in Adıyaman, are examples of weaving that have begun to disappear with their material, color and motif features. 40 houses were visited and 19 samples were handled and cataloged during the researches conducted in the center in the region. It was observed that the examined pillow carpets were woven using Turkish knot with cotton warp, weft and knot with wool yarn. The studies made to prepare the yarns used in carpet weaving and to make the dyestuffs natural were examined. The common features in the creation of materials, motifs and compositions attract attention because they reflect the traditional culture of Anatolia and thus the region. Pillow carpets showing these similarities in the region were examined and researched in the light of the information provided by the home owners. Adıyaman pillow carpets continue to be effective in the creation of home decorations in the region, together with the culture of sitting, eating and hosting guests for daily use.
