Abstract

The aim of this study is to identfy the metaphors of being a graduate of İmam Hatp High Schools and İmam Hatp High Schools. The sample of the study consists of 9th and 12th grade students of six different high schools in center of Diyarbakır. The students are asked to fll in blanks with metaphors in “İmam Hatp High School is like ..... . Because ......” and “Being a student of İmam Hatp High School is like ...... .”. The data is analyzed via the use of qualitatve (Content and descriptve) analyses.
