In the same way religion passed on to new generatons through educaton of religion in the insttuton of the family is in need. In traditonal societes, religious places nuptals with prayers and chopped by the clergy, so that is intended to be a sacred insttuton of the family. For this purpose in the Otoman public in the religious places and marrıage is solemnızed by the imam. However, in the transiton from Empire to Republic modernizaton model that Western society is dominant in Republican Turkey has led to a positvist paradigm. Positvist paradigm adopted by the elite of the Republican period, the religion, social life or to be completely removed, or at least be removed from being visible in public life was seen as a necessary insttuton. In this context, the formal marriage before solemnizing clergy and secular authority they received from an organizaton that has been given to the heads of municipalites. This issue, as many other people in the wedding has stayed in a dilemma.
