Abstract

The new-world order formed within the process of globalizaton, which caused rapid a change in all aspects of internatonal relatons, has indicated a new term that mutual perceptons and responses are momently reformed and the cultural elements are effectve on decision-making process of partes. This case has been very much apparent in the relatons of Turkey with Europe. This paper, frst, will deal with the changes of world politcs and the new forms of politcal positons afer the Cold War. Then, by focusing on how much Turkish foreign policy affected by these changes, I will argue Turkey’s new responses especially in the context of Turkey’s relatons with the EU, as a state demonstratng different types of traditonal balance policy. Finally, I will analyze the threat percepton of Turkey within the relatons of the EU in this new-world order.
