Abstract

The ultmate objectve of this study is to identfy the cause and consequences of immigraton which was happen in Islamic Geography in the context of immigraton theories. In this manner, frst of all, immigraton theories were examined in this study and then sociological causes and consequences of the immigraton was discussed. The fndings showed that just afer the 19th century, Islamic people start immigratng heavily just because of the one fundamental reason, internatonal war and civil war. In this context, frst of all it was claimed in this study that “forced immigraton” which was stated in Petersen’s 5 Immigraton Types explains the immigraton among the Muslim people. However, it was also claimed in this study that Centre-Around Theory also explains the immigraton occurrences among the Muslim people since many Muslim people moved to Europe in order to get an employment within the Centre country. It was also identfed in this study that Muslim people also immigrate because of the personal reasons and relatonship reasons. In this perspectve it was claimed that “free movement theory of Petersen’s” and “the relatonship theory” also explains the immigraton of the Muslim people afer 19th century. In terms of social consequences of the immigraton, it was identfed that immigrants have signifcant number of difcultes when they immigrate and those difcultes even get harder when they arrived to moved country. One of the main problems is identfed as getng along with the domestc people.
