But in the new term (single party period) Secularism, has been accepted within the scope of the disclosed target project to avoid defeat by the West, while sultanate and caliphate have been abolished. In secular system/regime, Turkish Natonalism was used for the percepton based on public sovereignty to create a modern state. Although the intenton was to seperate government from religion, the state did not abandon its power and steering over religion.
