Abstract

In this study, the Otoman educatonal model and Ivan İlliç’s “Theory of Deschooling Society “comparatve perspectve. Standardizing the modern educaton system, which is the locale that is on the agenda for a long tme there have been eliminated. Critcism of efforts to convert the number of people in the modern educaton system, “ theory of without school community” as an approach that offers the possibility of people as individuals, need to focus on self realizaton by Illich developed. Deschooling Society and the Otoman Empire seems to be very important similarites. Gained momentum in the last period of the Otoman Empire began with the establishment of the Republic in this study and in order to contribute to the debate on educatonal model stll debated today as required by the State, and developed as a critcism of the negatve aspects of general educaton “ theory of Deschooling Society” the foundatons of Classical Otoman society organized on a voluntary basis through the training model atenton is drawn to the similarites. Thus, an alternatve source of modern Western model of educaton as a model for standardizing the foundaton of mother tongue based educaton model in our country, partcularly in educaton, including issues such as mother-tongue educaton and religious educaton could be argued that the soluton to many problems
