During this period, in all areas from science to art, from producton to consumpton an understanding was emphasized aiming to move away from the old one that is traditonal, to reach from today that is modern. In this context, in this study, it is emphasized that the effects of consumer culture on the environment emerging in the 19th century and also living transformatons in itself, proved by this understanding, and environmental issues that occur as a result of it and tried to execute the approach of the religion of Islam. In this context, the relevant literature has been reviewed, and it has been emphasized that the damage of the logic of “ consume and throw it away ” which become widespread with the changing of consumpton into a culture in the modern period and afer it, the post modern period, on the environment and perspectve of the religion of Islam to this situaton in general. As a result of the study it has been proved that consumpton which has become a culture today is necessary fort he human as a behaviour of satsfying a need and destructons on the environment caused by the transformaton of consumpton into a pleasure and considering all things as objects to be consumed for satsfacton and the importance of the principles of religion of Islam about consumpton culture and environment has been emphasized.},author={ -Cemile Zehra KÖROĞLU},year={2013},journal={Toplum Bilimleri Dergisi}}
