@article{2013,title={},abstractNode={In this study, 597 khutbas which were delivered between 2001-2011, are analysed in the context of women discourse. Khutbas basically undertake the religious issues along with social and natonal issues as well. Throughout thisstudy it is identfed that, in general, the language which underlines the sexual discriminaton was avoided in khutbas. Hence the issues were considered without any classifcaton of male or female but it was in general. Total number of khutbas that are directly or indirectly related to women are 161 but only 13 are directly related. Those directly related khutbas are generally concerned about the issues related to the peculiar occasion of women. None of a negatve emphasis was observed within the sub-identtes such as wife, mother, daughter or woman as an individual. The discriminaton and abuse against women and girls were called to be avoided and respect and love towards them was intensively encouraged. On the other hand the epitome references of woman characters given in the khutbas were always of a positve example. We may say that, generally the discourse of woman in Diyanet Khutbas is dominantly favorable and constructve in nature.},author={ -Zekiye DEMİR},year={2013},journal={Toplum Bilimleri Dergisi}}
