Abstract

This study aims to deal with the theories of capitalism which was mentoned from the sixteenth century on which capitalism has appeared to early nineteenth century on which capitalism has established properly and spread to all over the world. As an economic policy, mercantlism provides the essental conditons for permanence of the commercial profts and enrichment which are accompanied by colonialism. On the other hand, both of Liberalism and Marxism are the theoretcal perspectves that explain the capitalism. Each of this perspectve has some remarks which aim to indicate the basic characteristcs of capitalism. While liberalism legitmized capitalism, Marxism critcized capitalist economic system. Taking into consideraton the aforementoned perspectves, this study deals with the social and economic conditon on which capitalism based. The accumulaton of capital accompanied by colonialism and the necessity for the contnuity of this capital are the basic conditons on which capitalism based.
