For this purpose, the essay begins with an analysis of the influence of Leibniz’s distncton between “truths of fact” and “truths of reason” on Kant’s distncton between analytc and synthetc judgments. In additon, the influence of the concepts of “tme”, “space”, “percepton” and “appercepton”, as employed in the philosophy of Leibniz, on Kant’s terminology is emphasized. Next the essay focuses on Wolff’s influence on the insttutonalizaton of German philosophy.
