Abstract

Since the sixtennth century, because the Russians began to get stronger and be effectve in the region of Crimean and Caucasian, there had been emigratons from these regions to Anatolia. Nonetheless, from the area, in where the Otoman Empire lost its ground, there had been emigratons to Anatolia also. Eskişehir had been one of the important centers during these emigratons. There are many Tatars among those emigrants, who were setled in Eskişehir. Tatars were down in the dumps early. They tried to have a country in the positon of foreigness, want and poverty and, in generel, they became the frst founders of the areas that they had setled. In Eskişehir, being an important trade center of central Anatolio, Tatars were the great majority of the popolaton. Eskişehir, with its center and villages, is a city of us ,n which the most Criemean Tatar lives. Tatars had lived their fgures, which they had brought from Crimean and Dobruca for a long tme. They also exemplifed their sorroundings with their assiduity. As a result of emigratons, Eskişehir’s populaton rised to a large extent and also its social and culturel life awaked greatly.
