Abstract

Berger’s sociological approach is phenomenological, heuristcal, humanistc and centred on knowledge sociology. Knowledge sociology states that society is dialectcal between objectve data and subjectve meanings. In other words, each social fact has a conscious element. Modernity is also largely a mater of conscious. The frst task of knowledge sociology should be a systematcal descripton of basic points of conscious. At this point, phenomenology provides us with signifcant tools to achieve it. Firstly, it teaches us how conscious make sense of any social reality. It follows that any social life is constructed by value judgement of its inhabitants. These value judgements are regarded as the defnitons of the truth. The other task of the knowledge sociology is to develop a relatonship between the structure of conscious and the establishment process of certain insttutons.
