Abstract
Din ve aile insanlığın tarihi kadar eski iki kurumdur. Modernleşme ile dinin toplumsal hayatta değer kaybedeceği hatta silineceği ailenin de birçok fonksiyonunu başka kurumlara devredip zayıflayacağı varsayılmıştı. Ancak bu iddialar boşa çıktı. Dinin hala kitleler için etkisi, ailenin de önemi devam etmektedir. Aile kurumu önemlidir ama sorunsuz da değildir. Tüm dünyada genel bir eğilim vardır; Kaba evlilik oranları düşerken boşanma oranları artmaktadır. Türkiye için de durum böyledir. Peki, boşanma oranları niçin her geçen gün artmaktadır? Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı, Din İşleri Yüksek Kuruluna aile hayatı, boşanma ve nedenleri ile ilgili gelen sorular bu kapsamda irdelenmektedir.

Abstract
Religion and family are two institutions as old as human history. It was assumed that, with modernization, the religion would lose value in the social life, even be disregarded, and the family would transfer many of its functions to other institutions and become weak. However, these assumptions turned out to be false. The religion is still an influence for the masses, and the family still continues to be significant. The institution of family is important but not free of problems. There is a general trend all over the world: Rates of marriage per 1000 people are decreasing, whereas rates of divorce are increasing. This trend is also apparent in Turkey. So, why are rates of divorce increasing day by day? In this study, questions directed at the High Council of Religious Affairs of the Presidency of Religious Affairs, Turkey, about family life, divorce and its causes are examined.
